Ettinger is a painter and a practicing psychoanalyst. Based in Paris and in Tel Aviv, Ettinger is an activist against the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, and she is among the leading intellectuals associated with contemporary French thought.

Bracha Ettinger's next one-person show will take place in June 2009 at the Freud's Museum in London.
