Dan Ponce Biography

Dan Ponce is an American WGN anchorman. He has been working at WGN-TV since joining in September 2010 as a general assignment reporter for WGN News.

He is currently an anchor for WGN Morning News from 4-6a alongside Lauren Jiggetts.

Ponce attended the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and received his Master degree his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Before joining WGN, he was a general assignment reporter for Chicago’s ABC7 Eyewitness News.

Ponce’s broadcast career began in Lansing, Michigan at WILX. He is as well the founder of the world-renowned Cappella group Straight No Chaser on Atlantic Records.
